Nobody Like Me.

I have a lock-screen on my laptop with those very words and after a conversation with a good friend regarding a recognised industry veteran, I might have to edit the image. One letter can change the whole perception.

A quick browse through my content from the past few years brought back differences of opinion with too, too many estate agents and "trainers" to mention.

Then again, I care little what others think of me. I have no filter. If I think something worthy of being said, it comes straight out - before I have had chance to edit my thought.

I attract those that belong in my life and they stay. Through best of times and worst.

Their opinion I do care about.

I'm not in pursuit of quantity - just quality.

It should be similar for any realtor/estate agent.  Sadly, it's not.

Find better clients. Clients that respect your opinion. Clients more than happy to pay you what you're worth. Clients that don't dispute your advice. Clients that know Who you are - before they know how well you do what you do.

I can't make it any more clear for you - if you're a stranger hustling your worth, those who have a Personal Brand have a bullet-proof advantage. Their fingerprints are all over everything they touch.

They're already known. They're already liked - chances are it's already a table for two when they come to instruct an agency.

If you're considering building a Personal Brand, there's something you should know.

It's not about reputation. That's the story others tell themselves, about you.

It's not about reach.  The false belief doing the rounds that as more people see your profile, more likelihood they will connect and do business. It is just that.

A myth.

Instead, it's about depth. About finding the right people.

Fifteen minutes of fame and micro-celebrity status won't create loyalty.

Loyalty that becomes a lifestyle.

An efficient business with low marketing spend. Clients that, without asking, spread the love for you.

It's not about how 'loud' is your message; more about how meaningful.

There's plenty of Personal Brand "experts" that can get you recognised - sharing your here-today-gone-tomorrow estate agency content all over social media.

Very few, though, bother to 'peel back the layers' on your qualities as a human being.

Positioning you, not as another brilliant realtor, but instead, a brilliant and interesting human being.

The sort that we can trust.

The sort that can say -  There is "Nobody Like Me."
